Re managers trusting AI more, my anecdotal experience has been that older and more "normie" people are surprisingly willing to use AI suggestions for everything (almost invariably the free terrible models as well).

Possibly there's something where people associate something coming "from the computer" with objectivity. Even though LLMs are very different than traditional computer programs.

I agree with you that this is an implausible outcome.

I rather like the analogy (I don't recall who gets the credit for it) that it is like a chimp expecting to control humans by amassing a large pile of bananas.
