Life requires time for a good game now and then. Across the Obelisk is a roguelike deckbuilder where a party of four adventurers goes on a quest. It is Slay the Spire meets Dungeons and Dragons. I played Across the Obelisk while it was still in early access. For most of the games I played, this meant that the ending was not fully available. I did get in several games once the final act was introduced, as well.
Ever played Marvel Champions? It's a physical deckbuilder, either single player or co-op. Just picked up the starter set a couple weeks ago and it's an absolute blast. Seems like it'll have near endless replayability given the expansions already published
OK I went and bought 'Slay the Spire'. Great! I read the top of your review, and now my question is... when can I read the rest of your review? I've made it past the third boss, but not to the fourth boss yet. I sorta want to share ideas about the game... but also like figuring it out. There's a tension here, that is similar to learning anything new.
1.) It's good to do things on your own, and you may find something new... or at least bask in the joy of figuring something out on your own.
2.) You want to talk to someone else, but also realize that this limits your rewards from self discovery and (in a more real world situation) might lead you to miss something original, cause once talking with other people you are likely to follow the well trodden path... which has proved successful for so many others.
Oh I figure I'll just play 'in the dark' for another week or so.
Now I really want to see your thoughts on *Library of Ruina.*

Good to see that our deckbuilder tier lists are nearly identical, I will check this out.
On a related note, I can make a strong case that Jupiter Hell is the best classic roguelike of all time, and not nearly well-known enough: https://store.steampowered.com/app/811320/Jupiter_Hell/
Reading nothing... is there a tutorial for complete idiots with regards to deck building?

I think Inscryption is one of the strongest games in this genre, if you haven't given it a run yet.
